Type: JCT Design & Build Contract
Project value: £2,850,000
Procurement: Competitive Tender
Scheme Overview: We built the £2.85m development scheme on behalf of Lidl GB, the scheme started July 2019 and was completed February 2020.
The development included the demolition of the former Dyfed Powys Police Station Carmarthen HQ and removal of all asbestos material from the building prior to demolition.
The construction phase compromised of installation of a Steel frame, composite panels roof and fully cladded walls with a sales area totalling 1300m2. The build included a fully functional bakery, PV system & integrated heat mat in the store access road.
Situated on Newport Road arguably the busiest street in Cardiff, this project necessitated a focused and fully co-ordinated management plan for all health and safety and access issues throughout the course of the scheme, in order to safeguard members of the public and ensure an efficient build process.
